Lightfury Games, a gaming startup secured USD 8.5 million in a seed funding round led by Blume Ventures.

This round also saw participation from MIXI, Gemba Capital, and notable angel investors such as Kunal Shah and Gaurav Munjal.

This funding will support the company’s mission to develop high-quality AAA games, with the goal of putting India on the global gaming map.

Karan Shroff, Co-founder, Lightfury Games, shared the company’s vision to become the “Tencent of India.” The funding will facilitate the establishment of two state-of-the-art gaming studios—one in Bangalore and the other in London. These facilities will enable the company to leverage cutting-edge technology and attract top talent to create world-class gaming experiences.

Lightfury Games’ plan to invest in the gaming sector is expected to boost the country’s reputation in the industry, attracting both domestic and international attention.
