Deep-tech VC Java Capital Marks Final Close Of Rs 50 Cr Fund

Java Capital, a deep-tech VC fund today marked the final close of Rs 50 crore fund. The fund has seen participation from founders, HNIs based in India, Middle East and the US, the venture capital firm said in a statement.

With this closing, Java Capital plans to open a greenshoe portion of Rs 25 crore, responding to sustained interest from Limited Partners (LPs). Moreover, the VC said that it plans build a portfolio of startups in Deep Tech, Climate Tech and B2B.

So far, the fund has made five investments in AuditCue, Okulo Aerospace, Oorja, Pre-image, and Frigate. Java has previously invested in companies such as Agnikul Cosmos, The Eplane Company, Cynlr, KUKU FM, Eat Better, Codingal, YellowMetal.
