Fantasy sports platform Dream11 has recently acquired Sixer, a fantasy stock trading platform established in 2018, as per media reports.
Oyster Soft India, the operator of Sixer, has entered into a business transfer agreement with Sporta Technologies, the company behind Dream11. This agreement involves the transfer of all assets and liabilities from Sixer to Dream11.
Existing Sixer users with funds in their wallets need not be concerned about the transition. Sixer has assured a smooth transfer of services without any disruption for its users.
The announcement of this acquisition was made on Tuesday, September 26, via an official email to users, informing them of the developments. Amay Makhija, the Founder of Sixer, expressed optimism that joining forces with Dream11 would lead to innovation and an enhanced gaming experience for players.
Sixer stands to benefit from Dream11’s substantial user base, which currently exceeds 200 million active users. Makhija praised Dream11 as one of the country’s most trustworthy and forward-thinking brands. He believes that Dream11 recognises the innovation within Sixer’s game and sees it as a potential future of fantasy sports.
In Sixer’s unique game, players are treated as stocks, and their performance directly affects their value, requiring users to make predictions and build teams accordingly.
