Taiwan-based Apple phone maker, Foxconn intend to double its investment and workforce in India within the next 12 months. The proposal came through V. Lee’s recent Linkedin post on the occasion of PM Modi’s birthday on September 17.
In the Linkedin post shared by the Foxconn’s emissary to India, he stated that the company was aiming for another doubling of employment, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and business size by the next time of this year.
Meanwhile, media reports have stated that Apple is developing plans to manufacture iPhone 15, which could feature in the debut day of global sales across many regions in the world.
Early in the month, Young Liu, Chairman and CEO of Hon Hai Technology said that, “India will be most prioritized country for manufacturing in the future.”
Notably, in August this year, Karnataka government stated that Foxconn might invest USD 600 million for two projects in the state to make casing component and chip-making instrument for iPhone.
