According to media reports, quick commerce startup Dunzo, which has been struggling to raise funds amid funding winter, has now told employees that pending salaries for June and July would be paid in November.
The financially challenged company, which is backed by Reliance Retail, has experienced several delays in salary disbursements over the past two months. Reportedly, the most recent notification was issued by the founder and chief executive, Kabeer Biswas, during an internal company-wide conference call on Friday.
Media reports further add that the Bengaluru-based startup is also looking to move out of its headquarters on Wind Tunnel road as part of further cost-cutting measures.
The CEO notified the employees of potential future workforce reductions in the event that the cashflow situation deteriorated, without providing specific details. Nevertheless, he assured them that salaries for the month of September would be disbursed promptly during the initial week of October.
