Tata Consumer Products of India stated on Friday that it has ended talks with bottled water company Bisleri International regarding a prospective takeover.
According to the media reports,,Bisleri chairman Ramesh Chauhan opted to sell the company to Tata Consumer Products for up to 70 billion rupees (USD 848 million).
Tata Salt and Himalayan-branded mineral water, in a statement, said that the company has not entered into any definitive agreement or binding commitment on this matter.
Yesterday, Tata Consumer’s shares closed 1.8 per cent up.
