TheRollNumber, a blockchain-based certificates verification platform, has raised USD 165k as a part of a seed round led by Inflection Point Ventures. The company will use the funds to reinforce its technology stack, improve the platform and expand its team and operations.

Vikram Ramasubramanian, Partner, Inflection Point Ventures said, “Centralization of sensitive information led us to invest in TheRollNumber.”

Founded by Sai Raghavendra Sharma in 2020, TheRollNumber runs a platform for the largely unorganised background verification and credential-issuing market. The platform offers BAAS and SAAS services for employers and banks to verify and issue credentials, as well as colleges and certification bodies and individuals such as students and employers.
