Garuda Aerospace has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Rallis India Limited, a subsidiary of Tata Chemicals. Rallis, a leading player in the agriculture industry, will supply pesticides and crop nutrients to Garuda Aerospace for a pilot demonstration and spraying of pesticides on fields through drones mainly in the states of Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh.

This partnership will help leverage the key strengths of both parties involved. The drone pilots will conduct demonstrations on approximately 1,000 acres of land on crops such as paddy, onion, wheat and vegetables.

This drone-based solution will also enable businesses to achieve their sustainability goals by making judicious use of the resources at hand. This partnership will also make Agri operations convenient for drone pilots to conduct better demonstrations for the farmers.

Garuda Aerospace seeks to make farmers Atamanirbhar and create employment opportunities for them. The company provides low-cost drone-based solutions and software and analytical tools to help businesses boost productivity and cut expenses. Garuda Aerospace has a fleet of 400 drones and a team of over 500 pilots in 26 locations across India.

On the other hand, Rallis India holds a strong distribution network for crop care and seeds. The crop care range reaches farmers via a vast network of 4000 dealers and 60000 retailers while seeds are sold through 2500 dealers and 40,000 retailers, covering 80% of all the districts of India. Rallis has customers in over 58 countries across various crop segments and cultural and linguistic borders.
