According to media reports, Reliance Consumer Products will acquire a 50 per cent stake in Gujarat-based Sosyo Hajoori Beverages, which owns and operates the Sosyo brand.

The remaining stake will be held by the company’s promoters, the Hajoori family, which includes Abbas Hajoori and his son Aliasgar, according to a statement issued by Reliance Retail Ventures on Tuesday. Reliance Consumer is Reliance Retail’s fast-moving consumer goods arm and a wholly owned subsidiary.

Following the acquisition of beverage brand Campa, Reliance will strengthen its beverage portfolio with this transaction.

Kashmira, Lemee, S’eau, Ginlim, Runner, Opener, and Hajoori Soda are among the brands owned by Sosyo Hajoori. Sosyo, the company’s flagship brand, has a 100-year legacy in carbonated soft drinks and juices.
