Indian-origin Sukhbir Dhaliwal, CEO of Peel Financial in Canada, raises $10,000 in collaboration with Royal Canadian Legion Branch 609. On the occasion of Remembrance Day, the raise was given to honour the selfless service of the men and women who served in both world wars.

The proceeds of this fundraising will benefit veterans in financial distress as well as services such as medical equipment, medical research, home services, long-term care facilities, and many other causes.

From 4th November, as part of the Remembrance Day National Poppy Campaign, Peel Financial, Canada’s largest heavy equipment financing source for over 20 years now, has taken great strides to help with this cause. Its employees reached out to various businesses across the Peel region to raise funds for the veterans’ welfare.

Speaking on the occasion of observing the National Remembrance Day on 11th November, Sukhbir Dhaliwal said, “I have always wanted to raise funds for the Royal Canadian Legion. I wished to honor Canada’s Veterans while also remembering those who sacrificed their lives for the freedom that we enjoy today. We at Peel Financial are elated to have partnered with Royal Canadian Legion – Canada’s largest veteran support and community support organization for this cause. The fundraising campaign’s proceeds will help the veterans to overcome financial obligations. It will also help the organization to put forth various development and welfare services for the veterans.”

Sukhbir Dhaliwal envisions Peel Financial to partner with many more community welfare focused organizations in future. In an effort to raise the company’s inclusivity quotient, Peel financial looks forward to engaging in such charitable causes and ensuring the wellbeing of Canadian citizens in need.
