OneGreen, the online retailer of ethical and environmentally friendly goods, has raised $1.5 million in a pre-series funding round led by Venture Catalysts.

The company will use the cash to move into its next stage of development and enhance accessibility and availability of ethical goods in a variety of categories, such as groceries, snacks, beverages, home care, etc.

Other prominent investors which took part in the funding round include Varun Duggirala (Founder Glitch), Shoumyan Biswas (Ex-CMO Flipkart), Sunil Kamath (CBO, Koo) and strategic investors from BYJU’s. The round also saw the participation of several unicorns.

Apoorva Ranjan Sharma, Founder of Venture Catalysts, believes that OneGreen presents an opportunity to create a holistic impact on the country with its eco-friendly and conscious efforts.

OneGreen was founded by Abhijit Bhattacharya and Neha Gahlaut for all things pure, hygienic, green, sustainable and organic.

Co-founder and Chief Marketing and Growth Officer, Neha Gahlaut, said that the company aims to become the enabler of a mass movement toward sustainable living in the near future with their customer-centric approach. The funding will help OneGreen widen their market reach and coverage and provide a platform to brands promote sustainable development.
