Game discovery and wallet app for Web 3.0 Glip has received $2.5 million in seed funding from Hashed Emergent. Beenext and existing investor Prime Venture Partners also participated in the round.
Glip has raised $6 million in funding through various rounds. Its source Prime Venture Partners, Better Capital, iSeed, and other unnamed angel investors took part in a round.
The funds will be used to grow their ten-person team, launch new product features, and expand their global community. Furthermore, Glip stated that it follows a zero-marketing-burn strategy in order to stay lean.
Glip claims to have over 2 million active users. The company is based in India but serves a global clientele.
In order to increase user acquisition and engagement, the company has signed up Web 3.0 games such as Axie Infinity, League of Kingdoms, and KOF Arena by Netmarble. Glip stated in a statement that as web 3 games improve with quality gameplay and sustainable economies, it is developing a dedicated distribution platform for them.
Glip, founded by Parth Choudhary and Ishan Shrivastava, claims to have over 7 million downloads across India, Southeast Asia, and Brazil. All in one app, gamers can discover new Web 3 games, watch tutorials, and participate in tournaments and quests. When users log in to the app, they will also receive a social login, non-custodial, multi-chain, gasless wallet.
