On Wednesday, actress Kajal Aggarwal made her first investment of Rs 5 crore in The Ayurveda Company’s series A fundraising round.
The direct-to-consumer (D2C) player, run by KE Healthcare Private Limited, intends to raise approximately $15 million (approximately Rs 122.6 crore) in the upcoming fundraise round.
The Gurugram-based company intends to use the funds from this capital raise to acquire new customers, strengthen brand building and awareness initiatives, and innovate and expand its offline and online channels.
The wellness and beauty brand raised approximately $3 million in a seed funding round led by Wipro Consumer Care Ventures, with participation from some high-net-worth individuals, in March of this year.
The Gurugram-based firm, founded in 2021 by Param Bhargava and Shreedha Singh, is an omnichannel beauty and wellness brand that claims to sell its products on over 30 marketplaces, including Amazon, Myntra, Nykaa, Flipkart, First Cry, and BlinkIt, in addition to its website.
Several celebrities have recently increased their investments in Indian startups, with sustainability and mindful growth as key themes.
