Omidyar Leads USD 10 M Series B Round In Startup Masai School

Omidyar Network India and existing investors India Quotient, Unitus Ventures and Alteria Capital invested in jobtech startup Masai School, operated by operated by Nolan Edutech. The startup bagged $10 million (around Rs 82 crore) in Series B round. The round also saw participation from cricketer Mithali Raj and footballer Bhaichung Bhutia.

The additional funds will be used by the Bengaluru-based platform to launch two new subjects and expand its skilling course in software development and data analytics.

Prateek Shukla, Yogesh Bhat, and Nrupul Dev founded Masai School in 2019, and the company has an income-sharing agreement for the courses it offers. Earlier this year, the company received $5 million in Series A funding from Omidyar Network India, as well as Unitus Ventures, India Quotient, and AngelList India. Unitus Ventures, India Quotient, and AngelList India contributed $2.5 million to the company’s pre-Series A funding round in 2020.
