Aamir Khan And Ranbir Kapoor Acquires Minority Stake In DroneAcharya

In the Pre-IPO round, Aamir Khan and Ranbir Kapoor acquired minority stakes in DroneAcharya Aerial Innovation. Shankar Sharma, a market veteran, is also on the list.

According to media reports, the company recently filed its draught red herring prospectus (DRHP) for a SME initial public offering (IPO). Mangina Srinivas Rao, who previously worked with ITC e-chaupal and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in India, also invests in the company.

Some angel investors have also invested in the company, including Jay Vishwanathan, VC Kartik, and Samit Bhartia. On the list are also Harshal Morde, an angel investor in media and entertainment-focused start-ups, and Ashish Nanda, Founder & Managing Director of Innovations Group, a UAE-based business conglomerate.

DroneAcharya Aerial recently announced the acquisition of more than 100 new drones as part of its expansion strategy. Beginning in 2023, the company intends to train 500 or more pilots and 25 instructors per year.
