Startup The Meat Chop Secures INR 7 Cr

The Chennai-based meat retail chain The Meat Chop has raised Rs 7 crore (approximately $900,000) in a seed round from a group of investors.

Mohan K (Co-founder of IppoPay), Ankur Agarwal (Co-founder of Dunzo), Rahul Mahipal (Founder of Capital Ventures), and other global investors participated in the fundraise.

The Meat Chop intends to use the additional funds to strengthen its brand, technology, and supply chain infrastructure, as well as to expand.

The Meat Chop, founded in 2021 by Appaas, Kalyan, Navas, and Yasar, manages procurement, marketing, promotions, and merchandising for butcher stores on its platform via tech systems and a standard operating plan, according to a statement.
