Mumbai-based health-tech start-up Truemeds has raised $5 million in a Series A funding round from InfoEdge Ventures, which is an existing investor, as well as Indian Angel Network Fund, and Asha Impact.
In addition to its existence in Mumbai, the platform will use the funds to develop fulfillment centers, develop technologies, and automate their supply chain in three new cities, build technology, and automate their supply chains. The start-up was founded by Akshat Nayyar, an MBA graduate from the Indian School of Business, and Dr. Kunal Wani back in 2019. The start-up has created a website and application, that lets users suffering from prolonged illnesses find medication in alternate brands. To facilitate this, the start-up has created a web-based platform and application. A patient needs to upload their prescription, get on a free consultation call with the platform’s doctor and the medicine is delivered to their doorstep. Since its seed round in 2020, the platform has grown 40 times.
